STUDENTSIPR Osaka University
Faculty members of Institute for Protein Research teach in the following Graduate Schools of Osaka University:
– Graduate School of Science (Department of Chemistry, Department of Biological Sciences and Department of Macromolecular Science)
– Graduate School of Medicine
– Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences
– Graduate School of Engineering
If you choose a faculty member in charge of your respective graduate school or major as your supervisor, you may belong to IPR for your educational and research activities.
01
As is the purpose of IPR’s establishment, we aim to foster a wide range of human resources capable of clarifying the various higher biological functions at the molecular and atomic levels.
02
We aim to support and develop talented individuals with promising future careers in areas like protein chemistry and structural biology, which analyze the structure and function of proteins, as well as molecular biology, developmental biology, and neuroscience, which study higher-order biological functions.
03
In collaboration with the Graduate Schools of Science, Bioscience and Biotechnology, Medicine, and Engineering, IPR engages in a diverse education and research system. The curriculum is well-developed with many faculty members conducting cutting-edge protein research.
04
Protein research is an interdisciplinary research field that goes beyond the boundaries of conventional research fields such as chemistry, physics, biology, and medicine. We aim to break down the barriers between laboratories and develop human resources who can play an active role in an interdisciplinary manner.
