Professor Toshifumi Takao received an honorary doctorate from the 294-year-old University of Havana (Cuba), and the award ceremony was held on Thursday 24 November 2022.

The award was given in recognition of Professor Takao’s extraordinary contribution to the field of biotechnology in Cuba over more than 30 years.
